|
A cold front will cross the region early this evening. This front could be accompanied by a dangerous snow squall that quickly ices up roads, reduces visibility to near zero and potentially cause traffic accidents. Snowfall accumulations will generally be 1 to 2 inches but it could fall in a short period of time. Right now it is forecast to pass through Chenango County from west to east between 7 and 9 pm. Temperatures will be above freezing before the cold front hits so the heavy snow and falling temperatures could freeze roads quickly.
